Film Independent, a non-profit independent media arts organization, will receive grants for the charitable purposes of SWS, provide oversight to ensure that grant funds are used in accordance with grant agreements, and provide reports as required by the grantor. Contributions for the charitable purposes of SWS must be made payable to Film Independent and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Film Independent absorbs the credit card transaction fees that occur with each online transaction, which can be between 2.5% and 3.5%. For this reason, they ask donors wishing to give in larger increments $10,000 or above send them a check, wire transfer or direct deposit via ACH transfer.
